Membership Benefits
SPPS members have access to merit prizes and several grants for activities within the Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Danmark, and on special request Estonia and Iceland). The main member benefits are:

Heavy discounts on SPPS Congress and SPPS Student Conference fees. Visit SPPS conferences for more information about these events.
2.
Possibility to join the Early Carreer PI meetings to build long lasting supportive collaborations within plant science.
3.
Nominate and be nominated to our prestigious SPPS Prizes. More details on the SPPS Prizes page.
4.
Apply for financial support. We provide grants for travelling to events, visiting other labs, boosting early researcher careers, and organizing conferences or outreach activities, amongst others. For more information, visit SPPS Grants.
Types of memberships
SSPS only offers individual memberships and everyone that wants to be a member needs to register individually. However, a group or organization can choose to pay a collective membership on behalf of their members. Individuals that register as part of a supporting group or organization do not pay any additional fees.
- Individual membership as part of a supporting institution: Free
- Regular membership: 30 €/year or 100€ for 5 years
- Student membership, 15 €/year or 50€ for 5 years
- Supporting institutions or groups:
- Small, up to 10 persons: 100 €
- Medium, 10-25 persons: 200 €
- Large, 25 people and over: 500 €.

How to become a member
If you are representing an institution that wants to become a supporting institution, please send an email with all information (institution name, postal address, contact person, contact email, VAT-number, type of membership) to our financial office at [email protected]. Our financial office will send an invoice to the contact person. Once the payment is completed, individual members will be able to register free of charge using an institutional discount code.

How to join as a supporting organization
After processing the application, SPPS twill send an invoice to the organization based on the number of members the insitution has chosen to pay for. After this, members of that institution are welcome to sign up for free as individuals using the correspondinf link above.
Institutions will be added to the list on our homepage and their members can individually register immediately after we have sent the invoice. We expect timely an uncomplicated handling of the payment from our members.
